Big Tahoma

The Big Tahoma was a team adventure you missed! Using a map with 50-60 marked checkpoints, teams planned and followed a route to find as many of the checkpoints as possible in their choice of 6, 12 or 24 hours.  Teams competed on foot or foot & mountain bike in the duathlon division in the 6-hour and 12-hour events. Teams ranged in size from 2-5 intrepid individuals.  Solo participants took part in the 6 hour option.  This type of adventure is known as a Rogaine and started in Australia.  When it came to the U.S. it landed in the Pacific Northwest first.  Now it is a sport done all over the world.

In the Fall of 2009 participants and spectators enjoyed the adventure, the camraderie of the headquarters and the camping.  The Big Tahoma was a great way for people to participate in the great outdoors.

This was so much fun we are doing it again.  Check out three15er.    Oct. 23-24, 2010.  Cle Elum, WA.  Join us for another Rogaine - cross-country navigation.
